“Motherhood”
Motherhood is a large-scale painting (80 x 120 cm) inspired by nature, stillness, and a recent stay in Northern Norway. During a painting retreat in Lofoten and a visit at Tranøy Lighthouse, where I had the privilege of being a course leader, I found deep inspiration in the raw landscape, the light, and the quiet strength of life unfolding around me.
This work is a combination of abstract painting and figurative elements. The soft, muted colors are drawn from nature and memory, carrying a sense of calm, warmth, and quiet strength. Motherhood is a tribute to the enduring bond between a mother and her children, and to the deep, lifelong devotion that defines the role of a mother.
